Fox Hollow residents:

On Wednesday, August 23rd, 2017, Fox Hollow will temporarily have the water shut off between approximately 10:00 am to 4:00 pm.

Please prepare ahead of time for any needs regarding babies, elderly, infirm, cooking, drinking, cleaning, bathing, laundry, etc. Also, once the water is turned back on, if there is a small amount of air in the lines, your faucets will “spit” a little. Just turn on all of your faucets at the same time and run them for approximately 45 seconds. That should clear any air or debris in the lines.

Water Shut-Off … Tuesday 2/28 … 10 am to 4 pm

Fox Hollow residents:

On Tuesday February 28, 2017, Fox Hollow will temporarily have the water shut off between approximately 10:00 am to 4:00 pm.

This is to replace two sets of cutoff valves for four condo units so that we have the ability to shut off water at those condos in case of emergency or interior repairs without interrupting water service to the rest of the community in the future.

Please prepare ahead of time for any needs regarding babies, elderly, infirm, cooking, drinking, cleaning, bathing, laundry, etc. Also, once the water is turned back on, if there is a small amount of air in the lines, your faucets will “spit” a little. Just turn on all of your faucets at the same time and run them for approximately 45 seconds. That should clear any air or debris in the lines.

OF NOTE:

Recently, properties the age of Fox Hollow have had small amounts of sediment or debris building up in the screens of their faucet aerators, and this type of shut off at the main meter has caused what seems to be a sudden problem that has actually be building up over time.

THIS IS NORMAL CALCIUM AND LIME SCALE THAT BUILDS UP IN ALL THE WATER LINES IN AUSTIN.

In case you aren’t familiar with aerators, it’s a simple screen and assembly that filters debris from your faucets. Over the years, if it’s not cleaned fairly regularly, it can seem as though it has suddenly built up and caused a problem by not allowing water to flow freely through the faucet.

If this should happen to you after the water shut off, please be familiar with how to remove the aerators from your faucet, rinse the screen and return or replace the gasket/screen/aerator to the faucet when done. FHA Loan Eligible

Congratulations to The Fox Hollow Condominiums, the condominium has been approved/re-certified by the Federal Housing Administration for FHA insured loans. The Condo ID Number is D001569 and the expiration date is 9/30/18. You can go to this bookmark, https://entp.hud.gov/idapp/html/condlook.cfm, type in the condo ID number in the Condo ID block, select Send and view the new expiration date. This site is operational Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 10 p.m. EST.

This approval/recertification is good for two years from the date of approval and the condominium will enter the window for recertification on 3/30/18.
